Many parents also learn the gender at the routine anatomy scan their provider schedules, which typically happens around the middle of pregnancy. An elective gender scan simply lets you find out a bit sooner, in a relaxed setting with your family around you.

Every ultrasound depends on how baby is lying. If baby is curled up, crossing their legs, or facing the wrong way, the view can be tricky, no matter how far along you are. That’s exactly what our rescan guarantee is for (more on that below).

How does the SneakPeek early gender blood test work?

The SneakPeek Clinical Snap is a blood test, so there’s nothing to see on screen. It looks for baby’s DNA in mom’s blood, which is why it can work so much earlier than an ultrasound. What if baby won’t cooperate during the gender scan?

It happens! If the gender or photos can’t be determined because of baby’s position at your first visit, you get a free rescan (unless otherwise noted). A few simple habits can help your session go smoothly:

• Drink eight 8 oz glasses of water daily throughout pregnancy. If you’ve been poorly hydrated, schedule at least a week ahead.
• You don’t need a full bladder, and you’re welcome to eat before your visit.
• A cold juice just before your appointment may help wake a sleepy baby.
• Arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.

Who can book an elective gender scan?

Our ultrasounds are elective and non-diagnostic. To book, you need to already be receiving prenatal care from a healthcare provider, and 3D/4D sessions are only performed for moms who’ve already had a diagnostic ultrasound. If you have any questions about your health or your pregnancy, your provider is always the right person to ask.

Payment is due at your appointment, and we accept cash, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App. Our Hero’s Discount is available for active duty military, veterans, reserves, police, firefighters (volunteers included), EMS, nurses, and teachers (aides included).
